Jalisa was born in New Brunswick and moved with her family to Qatar and Oman when she was young. While living in the Middle East she competed internationally for swimming. Jalisa moved back to the Maritimes to complete her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University. Following her degree, she worked for 2 years as a research assistant and coordinator in the department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at the QE II Hospital.
She then returned to school and attended McGill University to follow her passion as a Physiotherapist. At McGill, she gained an interest in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy and obtained her Level 1 through Uro-Santé. Jalisa joined the McGill University Masters Swim team for one year while attending McGill. She continues to work closely with McGill faculty in research pertaining to Pelvic Health.
Jalisa can communicate with clients in both English and French.
In her spare time Jalisa continues to swim, she loves going to the gym, and spending time exploring the outdoors going on hikes. She is excited to learn more about pelvic health and Pilates and to integrate this into her future treatments.
