Registered Massage Therapist & Manual Lymphatic Drainage Specialist
Dave is a Registered Massage Therapist with a special interest in Sports as Therapist and Coach. He graduated from Northumberland College in 2007 and has completed several Sports Massage Courses. Dave works with several Canadian National Team Athletes which include Canoe/Kayak, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey and Sailing teams. Locally he can be found at Scotiabank Place with the Mooseheads and Hurricanes.
Currently Dave is a Massage Therapist with the Canadian Olympic program. The majority of his work is with the National Canoe/Kayak team. He spends much of the year in Florida and Globetrotting to international competitions. Locally, Dave can be found at Scotiabank Place with the Mooseheads Hockey club, Thunderbirds Lacrosse team, Halifax Hurricanes Basketball team or on the sidelines with Halifax Wanderers FC. Dave is also a part-time Therapist for the Montreal Canadiens.
Dave has a passion for sport, and has worked professionally in the industry in a variety of areas including Coaching, Management and Therapy. Dave was a multi-sport athlete and has coaching experience in seven different sports. Originally from Newfoundland moved to Halifax to pursue a Degree in Recreation Management from Dalhousie. His Recreation experience includes marketing with Pittsburgh Penguins and managing and coaching numerous hockey, softball, snowboard and tennis programs.
Dave is stepping away from regular hours at CST, but remains a part of the team. He is putting his time into developing FUNSports which is a non profit that helps provide free sporting opportunities for youth. The Cove Sport Therapy is a big supporter of FUNSports.
