Our Purpose at Cove Sport Therapy is ‘Wholehealthedness’ and for us this means spending quality time with each client to learn what Whole Health is for them. We put a conscious effort into bringing you a team of all star therapists who can help you achieve your best life.

Our Core Values speak to our hopes for all members of our community- our team, our clients, our community and our world. Trust, Collaboration, Play, and Education and Innovation are the core values that drive what we do, how we think, and how we are.

At Cove Sport Therapy you can trust that your therapist has the time to truly listen to you and work with you to determine the best strategy to help you reach your goals. We will collaborate within our team, and outer community to access the best services for you. You may be working directly with one therapist, but you will access the expertise, and energy of all on our team.

Education and innovation are celebrated by each of our therapists, learning, growing, and reflecting on their practice, together, and in their own special interest areas to bring their best to you. Our therapists also love to Play, and know how important it is to find a way to put play in everyday, we love what we do and weave play throughout our day with clients and teammates and we value play and self care in our own lives so we can show up at our best for you.

Shelly Malcolm Beazley PT

Physiotherapist

Shelly’s hands on practice is shaped by 20 years of experience with an active population as well as continuing education courses in Orthopedics, Muscular Imbalances, Intramuscular acupuncture, and soft tissue techniques.

Natalie Randall Price D.O.M.P.

Osteopath / Athletic Therapist

Natalie is an Osteopath and Certified Athletic Therapist, and completed the Canadian Osteopathic program (CCO/CEO) in 2009 with her research thesis on sports concussions. Natalie has been working with athletes and active individuals since 1999, and has been the team therapist with over 25 teams in a variety of sports, including five National champions.

Erica Bowie PT

Physiotherapist

Erica brings to Cove Sport Therapy a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina, and a Master's Degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. Erica is also a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA. Erica believes in continuing to pursue education in the physiotherapy and fitness field.

Dave Green RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Dave is a Registered Massage Therapist with a special interest in Sports as Therapist and Coach. He graduated from Northumberland College in 2007 and has completed several Sports Massage Courses. Dave works with several Canadian National Team Athletes which include Canoe/Kayak, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey and Sailing teams. Locally he can be found at Scotiabank Place with the Mooseheads and Hurricanes.

Sarah Brownlow During RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Sarah has practiced in the Metro area since graduating from Northumberland College in 1999. Sarah studied at MSVU graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in 1997. She has taken training in Pregnancy massage, Palliative Care, Myofascial work and Exercise Therapy and has recently completed her training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) in Austria. Sarah is also active in the community of Massage Therapy volunteering on several committees with MTANS (Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia) over the years.

Julie Maynard RMT

Registered Massage Therapist, Osteopath in Training

Julie graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2014, after completing a degree in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University. Julie is currently enrolled in her second year of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and is grateful for the opportunity to shadow Natalie when possible at Cove Sport. Passionate to learn and to help others, Julie finds her work as a massage therapist (in osteopathic study) very rewarding. She has completed additional certification focused in treating dysfunctions of the TMJ (jaw). She also has special interest in treating chronic pain conditions, neurological conditions, and sports injuries.

Dr. Catie Gavin

Chiropractor

Dr. Catie's interest in health and proper functioning of the human body began while she completed her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University in her hometown, Antigonish, NS. Dr. Catie followed her interest in the human body, and continued her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2015. As a member of the women’s varsity hockey team at St. Francis Xavier, Dr. Catie experienced her fair share of sport-related injuries.

Melissa Allen P.DT. (C)

Registered Dietician

Melissa has completed a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition Dietetics from Mount Saint Vincent University. Along with working with a general population of patients requiring dietary services, Melissa has a special interest in sports and nutrition. She is currently an ambassador for LIV Canada cycling and a guide for MEC trail running. Melissa, a lifelong athlete, has performed at an elite level in endurance sports including road cycling, trail running, adventure racing, and cyclocross.

Nick Russell PT

Physiotherapist

Nick is a Physiotherapy Resident from Fall River N.S and is excited to be joining the Cove Sport Therapy team. Nick is a recent grad from the Dalhousie MSc Physiotherapy program (2018) and has a BSc in Kinesiology from Dalhousie (2016) as well. During Nick’s education, Nick was able to work with the University King’s College women’s rugby team as the lead trainer for the past two years and assisted with the Nova Scotia Keltic senior men’s rugby team this past summer. In addition, Nick covered numerous sporting events ranging from the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association women’s soccer national championship to local ultimate frisbee tournaments.

Colin Wiseman PT FCAMPT

Physiotherapist

Colin Wiseman is a Dartmouth native and resident. Colin completed his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie in 2013. Colin also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Memorial University, graduating with Honours in research of flexibility and sprint performance. Colin completed his Masters of Clinical Science (Manipulative Therapy) at Western University in 2019 and is now a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) – an accreditation signifying that he has completed extensive post-graduate education in orthopaedics and has achieved an internationally-recognized qualification in hands-on manual and manipulative therapy. During his time at Western, Colin completed research in conjunction with the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic involving Return to Sport guidelines post-ACL Reconstruction. Colin also has advanced training in Concussion screening, assessment, and rehabilitation; an area of specific interest within his caseload.

CEO Happiness

Marty is often found greeting clients and friends at our door. His entire job is to make people feel welcome, and bring a bit more fun into our lives. When he's not working Marty can be found taking long walks or engaging in many sporting activities or simply lounging around.
