Personal Clinical Care on Lake Banook.
Welcome Back To In-Person Treatments!
We are very excited to re-open our clinic and get back to doing what we love to do! Many things will feel different when you arrive, but you can expect the same great care you’ve always known at Cove Sport Therapy! We are here to help, so if you have any concerns or need clarification on our new procedures, please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What you need to know:
Upon booking an appointment you will be sent an online mandatory pre-screening questionnaire for Covid-19 symptoms.
A mandatory second screening will be completed by your therapist via phone when you arrive for your appointment before you come inside the clinic.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority currently considers a positive Covid-19 screening as a patient having 1 or more of the symptoms outlined at https://when-to-call-about-covid19.novascotia.ca/en
If you present with one of more of these symptoms, you have travelled in the last 14 days your therapist has to refuse treatment that day and will ask you to call 811 for further instructions.
If you or one of your household or bubble members have travelled in the past 14 days or have been in contact with someone being tested for or confirmed to have COVID 19, we ask that you reschedule or schedule a Virtual Physiotherapy appointment.
While we are excited to see you, we are dedicated to following Public Health guidelines to keep our community safe and our economy open! We are trusting you to do your part and answer these questions honestly.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND DISINFECTING:
Your therapist will be wearing a surgical/procedural mask throughout treatment and have been trained on proper donning and doffing protocol put forth by the Department of Health and Wellness (DHW).
Clients are also required to wear masks while in the clinic, though it doesn’t need to be surgical/procedural grade. If you haven’t already purchased a reusable cotton mask, there are some great local companies making them, so please pick up one now!
Following Dr. Strang’s recommendation we will not be wearing gloves or gowns/scrubs during appointments, however as always and with careful attention we will be washing hands between each patient, disinfecting the treatment table and all surfaces in the treatment room.
In addition to room sterilization, we have put together a schedule for daily disinfecting throughout the clinic which will be followed by all therapists/staff.
ENTERING AND EXITING THE CLINIC:
As part of health and safety precautions we will be closing the waiting room and each patient will get a text or call when your therapist is ready for you. You can relax in your car or along the lake until your appointment time. This will decrease traffic in the clinic and ensure that you are directly taken into your treatment room, VIP style!
There will be a hand sterilizing station set up at the front desk for mandatory patient use upon arrival.
We are set up for contactless payment options. Payment can be made online through Jane App, through e-transfer, or in the treatment room with your therapist prior to leaving your appointment.
We are also hoping to minimize the clinic washroom usage to emergency needs only ( we won’t make you pee your pants!) as there will have to be a specific cleaning routine done by the therapist after. So, if possible, please go before you come!
